Important Information:
- THIS IS A PRIVATE CLINIC. WE DO NOT BULK BILL. You will be required to pay full consultation fees on the day of appointment.
- Please ensure that you bring a valid referral for the appointment. We can claim the Medicare rebate for you on the day if you have a valid referral and a valid Medicare card.
- Unfortunately, we don’t accept any Pensioner or Concession Card (only Medicare Rebates are available).
- You will receive a reminder text message regarding the appointment 1 week prior. You need to pay 50% of the consultation fees when you confirm the appointment.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule the appointment for any reason, please provide minimum 24 hours notice (a cancellation fee will be applied if you do not show up for the appointment).

Scripts Policy
Authority scripts including Stimulant and Psychotrophic medication
- Patients on stimulant or/and psychotrophic medications require a face-to-face medical review every 6-months. Telehealth appointments can be scheduled in case of emergency or depending on individual circumstances.
- Any scripts required out of scheduled appointment will be charged an admin fee of $80.
- Please arrange an appointment in advance to come in for a review and to get the repeat authority script.
Non-Stimulant medication
- There will be an admin fee of $50 for non-stimulant medication scripts, if the last appointment was more than 3 months ago.
Telehealth Policy
- If you require an urgent telehealth consult with the specialist, we will arrange it at earliest available time. We do not bulk bill any telehealth consultation at Hills Children’s Specialist. Private consultation fees will be charged according to the type of consult.
- Calls related to side effects of the medication before the next appointment will be arranged over the phone with the specialist at earliest convenience.
- Telehealth/Zoom consultation fees and duration of appointment are similar to face to face consultations.
- You will be requested to make payment before your consultation via telephone. Failure to make payment when requested to do so will prevent you from booking subsequent appointments until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
Separated Parents Policy
- Please kindly provide all information regarding your family situation during your first appointment with us. This includes the provision of relevant court orders and legal documents.
- Both parents have equal rights to schedule an appointment and request access to their child’s medical records unless there is a court order to the contrary.
- Both parents can consent to treatment and we request separated parents make these decisions jointly. If a dispute arises, we recommend that parents resolve it between themselves, or through the Family Court of Australia if necessary.
- We request the attending parent to communicate the appointment details and share reports with the other parent, if both parents are unable to attend together.
Third Party Payment
- We will cancel future appointments if the previous consultation is not paid on time. It will be parents/carers responsibility to check with the case worker regarding the payment completed on time.
- Consultation fees are required to be paid in advance for third party payment. We cannot confirm the appointment unless consultation fee is paid prior.
