Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Bsc. OT (Hons)

Abby is a qualified Occupational Therapist based in Sydney, Australia, with a special interest in paediatric occupational therapy and family-centred practice. She completed her Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Newcastle and has undertaken extensive training and professional development in paediatric settings, including fine and gross motor skill development, sensory processing and regulation, and daily living skills. Abby is a registered member of AHPRA and is committed to ongoing learning and best practice.
Abby has gained broad experience working across a variety of paediatric environments, including clinics, schools, and community settings. She specialises in the assessment and intervention for children with diverse needs, supporting those with developmental delays, sensory processing differences, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and difficulties with daily living skills. Abby works collaboratively with families, educators, and other health professionals to ensure holistic and practical support for each child at home, school, and in the community.
In addition to her core paediatric expertise, Abby has significant experience working with children from trauma backgrounds, including those who have experienced adverse childhood events or are involved with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) or police. She is sensitive to the unique needs of children from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, respecting cultural values and working in partnership with families and communities to provide culturally safe and responsive care. Abby’s approach is trauma-informed, recognising the impact of past experiences on a child’s development and wellbeing, and she adapts her interventions to support healing, resilience, and empowerment.
Abby’s passion for occupational therapy was inspired by her mother’s work as an early childhood teacher, which fostered her appreciation for supporting children with unique strengths and challenges. Her approach to therapy is guided by values of kindness, compassion, and respect for family priorities, ensuring that every intervention is tailored to the child and family’s goals.
Outside of her professional life, Abby enjoys rock climbing, exploring new activities, and caring for her two bunnies and a puppy. She values the importance of balance and wellbeing, both for herself and the families she supports.
