Khaing is a qualified Developmental Educator based in Sydney and a registered member of Developmental Educators Australia. She is passionate about supporting children and individuals with diverse needs to build independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in everyday life.
Her practice is guided by an evidence-based, family-centred and individualised approach with a strong focus on functional skill development. Khaing works collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent and practical strategies are implemented across different environments. She is particularly skilled at translating therapeutic goals into everyday routines, empowering children and individuals to apply and maintain these skills in real-life settings. Her work emphasises the development of functional life skills, social participation, communication and independence across home, school, and community environments.
Khaing has extensive experience supporting children and individuals with Global Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, intellectual disability, and other developmental needs. She holds a Master of Disability Studies (Sensory Disability) and a Master of Public Health, as well as a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Clinical Science). Before relocating to Australia, Khaing worked as a Physiotherapist and Child Development Specialist in Myanmar, bringing a holistic, compassionate, and culturally informed perspective to her practice. She is also fluent in Burmese.
Outside of her professional life, Khaing enjoys listening to music, spending time in nature and reading.
