Dr Vanessa Dsouza is a General Paediatrician with over 13 years experience in Paediatrics and Child Health. She completed her training in General Paediatrics through Sydney Children’s Hospital, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and several regional and rural hospitals.
Vanessa has experience in neonatal care and Neurology. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia.
In addition to working at Hills Children’s Specialists Centre, Vanessa works as a Visiting Medical Officer at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals. She is well versed in managing acute as well as chronic and complex medical issues such as newborn and infant growth and development, asthma, eczema, constipation, enuresis, sleep and behavioural issues, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She has a special interest in Neurology and Neurodevelopmental paediatrics.
Vanessa is passionate about supporting and guiding children and their families by adopting evidence-based practice and family centered approach. She enjoys working cohesively with fellow health care professionals to achieve the best outcome for the child and their family.
She is fluent in English, Hindi and Konkani.
